Quote Generator

    Hi all,

    Quote generator has data but will not Generate a report.

    I have sent the error message to support, which is

    ”No data to enable coding 948”

    Also the quote Generator template is incorrect, because it formulates quantity x cost instead of qty x price

    Can someone check this please?

    I haven’t been using quote generator much, but it would be awesome if it worked.

    G’day Alex!

    Don’t think I’ve used QG since v14 but don’t recall ever getting an error like that.

    But I’d be very interested if you get a solution.

    Hey Merv,

    so good to hear from you!

    Louisa and the Cadsoft Team did a great job with my issues with QG.

    A long story short is that My back up software caused the issue by

    corrupting a couple of Items in my catalogue. So be carefule how you back up and sync

    important files like a catalog.

    My QG is flying now! Woo Hoo!

    Question are you using V17 yet?

    Have you dried out down there yet?

    I setup 2 separate clients with NovaBackup about 6 years ago. Both didn’t like having USB drive plugged in all the time. Every time I visit one I try to run a full backup but it’s months since that happened. Now the other client’s main laptop has failed. We spent hours trying to access their Pictures but as soon as we try to expand the users folder (HDD removed & placed in dock), HDD just disappears from File Explorer.  Then more hours going thru SD cards from different cameras then 3 phones and an iPad. About 3 years’ worth seems to be missing.

    But yes I installed c3, then had a family crisis. Dad’s 97 and his dementia is worsening to the point we’ve had to move him into a secure facility. Mum’s almost 94 and isn’t coping very well so I’ve been spending 2 days per week visiting them southside of Brisbane (average trip 2 hrs each way). Fortunately only one remodel on the go atm so I’ve modelled the existing in c3. Yesterday I went to do a checkplot for dims I need to confirm still as well as locating ceiling joists, underpurlins, struts, hanging/strutting beams etc. But every time I try to insert a SmartView, Env hangs. “Envioneer has stopped working . . . Windows will close the programme”

    Tried half a dozen different scenarios (patterned, 1:50, ZE, hide terrain & sections) but hung every time. SAVEAS v16 then open in 16 – same error! Maybe something corrupt in the model? ZE actually displays blank space to the left so that’s the next avenue of investigation . . .

    Several 150 series block walls corrupt, so easily fixed!
