    Does anyone have any ideas on modeling “Raised Panels” for cabinets, wainscoting, fireplace surrounds, etc. ?

    Might I suggest a new feature?  Possibly under walls, there might be a panels option.  Raised Panel, Drywall only, plywood where the thickness, height & width of a panel could be specified.  With the usual appearance or surface options.  With various edge treatments like beveled, raised, notched, square, etc that would render the corners properly.  Just a suggestion!

    You can get this look on your wall with the wall properties on the trim tab:

      <li style=”list-style-type: none;”>
    1. Select wall>right click>properties>trim tab
    2. Application>left/right interior surface
    3. Trim>scroll to bottom: custom>select>wainscot paneling>right click on 36” wainscot paneling>Add element
    4. Enter new material name>change appearance and dimensions>ok>ok
    5. Enter offset from bottom/top of wall>okI will add  your request for raised panel element for wainscoting to the wish list.
