I’m planning to build a home in the mountains on a lot with a continuous slope.    I’ve attempted to use the plateau feature to create a flat building spot (which would need to be created by grading the lot), but if I start with adding the slope using the basic terrain tools then add a “plateau” – it appears to simply add or subtract from the slope.  Yet the building site is still sloped.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to create a flat area on a sloped terrain?

I’ve also tried using a “Pad”, yet that just cuts around the terrain rather than showing the increased slope needed on both sides of the flat area.

    Hello

You could use Spot Points to give precise heights of the terrain. Watch this video: https://cadsoft.devpreviewhub.com/walkout-basements-on-a-sloped-terrain/
